What improvements does the Osmo Action 3 firmware update include?

1. 4K HDR Video
The camera uses chip-level HDR technology and supports recording HDR video at 4K/2.7K/1080p at 24/25/30fps (16:9). Even in high-contrast scenes such as sunsets and sunrises, it can reproduce rich details in lights and shadows, so you can take pictures with natural transitions. At the same time, you can activate RockSteady 3.0, RockSteady+, HorizonSteady or HorizonBalancing to stabilize image details during fast-paced shots.

2. 10-bit colour depth.
Over a billion colours can be recorded to reproduce your world in stunning detail and deliver softer and more natural colour gradations for more flexibility in post-processing.

3. Time code
Time code is designed for shooting with multiple cameras. After synchronizing each camera’s time code, you can quickly match videos from different cameras, saving time in post-processing and resulting in more efficiency.

1. The high frame rate of 120 fps applies to videos in 1080p, 2.7K and 4K with a 16:9 aspect ratio.

4. To avoid damage, the product should not be thrown, beaten or squeezed.
5. Before use, the covers for battery compartment and ports as well as the lens protector must be tightly closed. It is recommended to install the waterproof case for prolonged underwater shooting or in environments with strong external influences. The Osmo Action 3 and the waterproof housing both have protection class IP68. Do not use the camera in the thermal bath and keep it away from corrosive liquids.

6.A maximum recording time of 320 minutes can be achieved by replacing the battery once under the following conditions: Tested in a laboratory environment of 25°C and 1080p/30fps video recording with EIS disabled and screens off. The data is for reference only.
